Hip Hop on Pointe!
Hanover Park, IL - "This summer we bring you a new twist to our annual production" says Artistic Director, Watmora Casey. A new work is being created through a collaboration of two master choreographers. Casey for classical and Suave for Hip Hop. Don't miss it!
Faubourg presents "Les Danseurs featuring Coppelia" on Thursday, August 13 and Friday, August 14 at 7:30pm at The Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $16 for seniors or students. You may purchase tickets online at www.faubourgschoolofballet.net.
Watmora Casey, Founder and Artistic Director, hints a touch of Christian spirituality in his works. He says that "with this art form, unique interpretation of stories portraying life's struggles, joys, defeats and successes permit us to touch a place within ourselves that may not otherwise be available." He goes on to say, "Ballet also reveals the joy and satisfaction associated with dedication of mind and body toward high standards of artistic expression, a lesson particularly useful for children."
