Faubourg Theatre, Inc. is an Illinois non-profit organization incorporated in November of 1996. The founder, Watmora Casey, is a respected dancer, dance instructor and businessman with a very clear and powerful vision of what he would like to create through a local professional ballet company. Mr. Casey believes that ballet, as well as all art forms, has the power to influence us in a positive and meaningful way in addition to the simple artistic pleasure that can be derived for both audiences and performers alike.

On a Christian spiritual level, classical ballet allows for the creative expression of emotions and feelings through disciplined movement of the body. With this art form, unique interpretation of stories portraying life's struggles, joys, defeats and successes permit us to touch a place within ourselves that may not otherwise be available. Ballet also reveals the joy and satisfaction associated with dedication of mind and body toward high standards of artistic expression, a lesson particularly useful for our children.

Mr. Casey's passion for bringing ballet to the suburbs was the impetus for forming Faubourg School of Ballet, which serves over 200 students of all ages and is recognized nationally as a premier ballet school. To date, Mr. Casey has focused on the development of his school as a method of establishing Faubourg Theatre within the suburban community. With a tough-love approach that inspires each student to reach his or her full potential, Mr. Casey has successfully trained students who have gone on to dance with ballet companies in Chicago, Houston, New York and Washington DC. This dedication and love is evidenced in his work and is certain to be reflected in the presentation of professional performances.
