Ballet Camp Illinois '09

June 22 - August 1, 2009

Ballet Camp Illinois (BCI) is a 6 week summer intensive program offering concentrated training in classical ballet technique and repertory workshop. The program has been developed and proven successful by Mr. Watmora Casey - Founder & Artistic Director of Faubourg School of Ballet & Faubourg Theatre, Inc. Mr. Casey has carefully developed a curriculum based upon the Russian Vaganova technique. This program will allow the serious student to become a skilled and joyful dancer, balanced in both grace and strength.

Beginning students will focus on ballet technique and improvement with regards to strengthening, flexibility, and musicality.

BCI intermediate and advanced students can expect to attend classes 6 days per week, Monday through Saturday. Daily classes will include ballet technique, pointe technique and/or classical variations and floor barre. Modern and jazz classes are included in the schedule throughout the week. A lunch break will be scheduled within the student's day - microwave, refrigerator and eating areas are available. Auditions are required for placement in the BCI program.
